Kristen joined the Crime Commission in the fall of 2000 after graduating from Christopher Newport University with a degree in Governmental Administration and a minor in Business Administration. She later obtained a Master of Public Administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She worked as a Policy Analyst for several years and was promoted to Deputy Director in July of 2006. Kristen was appointed in April of 2009 to serve as the Commission's Executive Director.
