Stewart joined the Crime Commission in September of 2000 as Senior Staff Attorney, and was promoted to Director of Legal Affairs in March of 2003. Prior to his time at the Crime Commission, he was an associate at the law firm of Vergara and Associates. Stewart graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1992 and the University of Virginia School of Law in 1995.
